Strength Training for Runners

 
 

We are holding weekly strength training classes again in 2022 to be held on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 7:15 pm for 13 weeks from Jan 5 to Mar 30. These classes are free of charge to all ERC club members. You must sign up for the classes and a new zoom link will be e-mailed to you every week to join each session.

The instructor for the class is Rock Tate, who is the owner of CHAR Fitness Club at 8 Hartley St, Montclair, a premier training facility offering small group classes and athletic performance training. Rock brings a positive and uplifting energy to every session. He has specifically designed this class to help increase overall strength and core stability for runners. The workouts have been designed with body weight movements to ensure ease of work at home, but the opportunity to add weight will be included. The goal will be to increase your balance, strengthen your core and decrease your chances of injury. There will be thirteen 45 minute sessions with additional "homework" for participants to do on their own.
