Please Mark the Date: December 7—ERC Celebrates 25 Years of Running! ERC’s 25th Anniversary Celebration will held Sunday evening, December 7, from 6 PM to 10 PM at Mayfair Farms in West Orange and will include a cocktail hour, buffet dinner, deejay, dancing, and a short (but meaningful!) program. We are also on the lookout for pictures, particularly from the last 5 years since we have the picture boards saved from our 20-year celebration. |

The Essex Running Club (ERC), founded in 1983, welcomes New Jersey runners of all levels of ability. We host group runs (Thursday evenings, June through August, and weekend mornings in
the winter), participate in local races, and share experiences about
running. Membership in ERC includes informative monthly meetings with guest speakers at local restaurants; group carpools to area races; a monthly newsletter with complete race schedules, race results, club social events, meetings and other pertinent news; and a yearly bus for NYC Marathoners and family members. We are primarily located in the greater
Essex County area, with strong representation in the towns of Bloomfield,
Caldwells, Cedar Grove, Glen Ridge, Montclair, Verona and West Orange; however, we also have several members from surrounding towns and states. In addition to offering many running
related activities, we also enjoy non-running activities, such as bus
trips, skiing and wine tasting parties. |
